Job Description

As the Supply Chain intern you will be part of the supply planning team that is responsible for the supply plan for the multiserve/single serve category and/or instand/liquids category for one or more factories. You will create a supply plan with the goal to optimize service and stock levels of finished goods in your category. This supply plan is the ingoing production plan for our manufacturing facilities. You will report to the Supply Planning Manager and you are part of the JDE Central Supply Chain organization. The role co-operates with local Demand Planners in the MSUs, schedulers and planners in the Manufacturing units, External Co-Manufacturers, Coffee sourcing, and Central Procurement.

Your key responsibilities are:

  • Managing service and stock levels (finished & semi-finished goods inventory) for the category
  • Preparing and managing the monthly Supply Review with the factory. Show KPIs of past month and look forward to the short term plan
  • Participating and preparing for the weekly and daily whiteboard meetings and suggest improvement actions
  • Creating a feasible Supply Plan (Capacity & Production Planning) on SKU level
  • Allocating production to factories, and identifying the need for outsourced/third party supply
  • Approving & maintaining MSU safety stock settings, & approving Production MOQs & frequency

Next to that you will also be working on a to be decided  project within supply chain. This will be selected based on your interest and the availability of the projects.

For this role as a Supply Chain Planning intern we’re looking for someone who has the following skills and experience:

To be successful in this internship:

  • You are currently enrolled in a University, following a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, with a direction in or similar to supply chain
  • The length of the assignment is between 5-6 months depending on your availability with a starting date as of August/September 2022
  • Good communication skills in English
  • Currently living in the Netherlands or willing to relocate

The monthly internship allowance is € 450,- for a HBO student or € 500,- for a WO student, based on a fulltime 40 hour workweek. We also provide additional support if daily travelling to work is required. Please do keep in mind that we do not offer relocation and/or accommodation benefits for students coming from abroad
