The Supply Chain Controller is responsible for core activities of financial planning/budgeting, financial reporting and analysis, process and control improvement, business partnering, as well as ensuring compliance and standard are in place related to Supply Chain and Procurement activities.
The position will be responsible for Supply-Chain Operations Controlling and reports to the Finance Operations Manager APAC based in Johor.
He/she will provide support to the Supply Chain and Procurement Asia organization in term of core tasks as following :
1. Actual and Forecast : Prepare monthly and other regular management reporting and analysis related to end-to-end supply chain cost and procurement spending through a set of meaningful, standard, accurate and on-time financial KPIs reporting, updating monthly financial risks and opportunities and support ad-hoc reporting request from stakeholders.
2. Plan and Budget : Lead and support entire annual planning and budgeting (financial target setting) for Supply-Chain and Procurement by identifying reasonable business opportunities, inflations and macro-economic market trends, as well as specific productivity cost-saving initiatives and tracking its realization. Support preparation of standard costing by placing data-sanity checks on all inputs/assumptions/conditions in line with timeline.
3. Investments : Prepare, calculate and support the Supply-Chain and Procurement cost components required as part of a Capital Expenditure initiative/business case.
4. OWC Operating Working Capital : Define and track OWC optimization initiatives related to Supply-Chain and Procurement streams, such as inventory optimization, payment term extension, supplier financing, consignment model. Manage spending pool by item-category.
5. Compliance : Support controls related processes and ensure alignment with global and regional policies and operations governance rules. Maintain fully compliance to internal control framework.
6. Ad-hoc Projects : Participate in project-based or regular meetings, include meeting with JDE buyers, to understand the specific value-chain and procurement projects. Give active input and be co-pilot for negotiations. Be actively involved in globally driven standardization projects or business process streamline, and closely collaborate with the global procurement and global supply chain team for specific projects.
The role will also provide critical business support to operations through business partnering, as well as play an important custodian role, ensuring that full compliance, controls and policies are properly applied.
University Degree, preferably in Business Administration, Controlling or Finance.
MBA/MSc is preferred.
